CALL FOR GRANTS BILBAOARTE 2024-25

The will of FUNDACIÓN BILBAOARTE FUNDAZIOA is to promote culture and artistic production, and for such purpose it collaborates with FUNDACIÓN BBK and UPV/EHU in the edition of this present call for grants for artistic project productions.

Given the characteristics of Fundación Bilbao Arte Fundazioa–its technical installations and its professional team–, it is highlighted that the suitability of those projects lies on an advantageous use of the resources and on the technical and professional possibilities offered by Bilbao Arte.

In this regard, the presented projects that prove the need to work in the Foundation making a full use of its technical equipment and the advice and collaboration of the technicians will have priority over other projects in which the artist does not need to make use of the facilities or the professional team at Fundación Bilbao Arte Fundazioa.

Consequently, for these active residency grants, the projects which present a documented work plan that considers a continuous use of the Digital image, Media Lab, Sculpture or Printing and engraving workshops will be specially considered (information on the technology and media that Bilbao Arte puts at the service of artists can be consulted on the website).

A maximum of 12 grants are convened. The selected artists will have a temporary studio at the Bilbao Arte Foundation and will have a financial allocation for production expenses, as well as access to the rest of the infrastructure that the center has in its different workshops of production.

Bilbao Arte, in addition to providing the use of all its facilities (check the web page with the detailed equipment of the Foundation), establishes an advising service through the Workshop Masters, who will take care of the technical needs. All types of grants can request accommodation in the foundation´s shared apartments.

All grants have the option of accommodation in the Foundation’s shared apartments.
