This piece places Araitz Urbeltz in the playful tradition whose origin can be traced back to Myriorama, a unique game from the early 19th century. It was a set of cards that could be combined in a sequence at will to form different variations of a long horizontal landscape. In this case, the cards are strips of wood that allow several vertical combinations. Photoengraving was used to print images showing malnourished children or animals on them, along with others taken from celebrity and fashion magazines. The game thus becomes a type of combinatorial art of great critical virtuality and achieves a shock effect that is far from the original purpose of the Myriorama for people to enjoy the landscape.
