Nils Mollenhauer uses a series of photographs and videos to explore the city of Bilbao and its transformation from an industrial centre to a cultural and tourist centre, thus making it a more sociocultural city. In just 25 years, the city of Bilbao underwent a far-reaching transformation, from a city with an industrial production system in crisis to become one of Europe’s most attractive cities; there have been three revolutions: the industrial revolution, the urban revolution and the future knowledge revolution. The artist focuses on the current creative industry by revealing the historical connections of the installation.
