This work reflects on the world of art, with the figure of the artist taken as the starting point. The role of the artist is centre stage throughout the series; his image is repeated and unfolds in the photographs and objects that capture different aspects of the art world. The author does not adopt external roles – as occurs in the work of other artists – but rather assumes the many-sided nature of any identity, showing different facets of a personal universe in conflict with an already defined structure; his work approaches the conflicts and complex relations between an artist and their own work, the objective and its impact – their commitment – and the art world in which they are forced to work. Yet these reflections can be perfectly extrapolated to a society in which the policies of appearance and power games underpin our usual framework.
