Dibujo Nº1 [Drawing No. 1] is part of the project that Lander Telletxea Armendariz produced at BilbaoArte in 2010. It consists of three Stop Motion animations, using illustrations by the artist. The works are based on the stories that make up Truman Capote’s Christmas Trilogy, which are based on Japanese popular culture.
Dibujo Nº 1 is graphite on paper. The drawing shows a collection of winter fruits The technique used is fast strokes that lends a sense of dynamism to the work; a slight blurring typical of the material used is subsequently added. Working with textures adds an organic aspect to the work.
