Monos y blocos [Monkeys and Blocks] is a project that emerged from the ERROR series of paintings, which seek to explore the humanised and figurative nature given to works by incorporating sculptural pieces. The current project involves two types of art: sculpture with the human body as a reference for scale, and, on the other hand, painting with acrylic and oil on canvas. This project seeks to explore the sculptural object, embark on the experience of combining painting and sculpture as a whole reflecting on the volume, balance, rhythm, weight, texture and colour.
‘’There is a constructive willingness in his work process, which has often driven him to experiment through sculpture, with the aim of understanding what happens on his canvases when a plane is included in the form of an Okoume wooden board.
