Rosa Oro [Pink Gold] is a project that led to a seven-minute video being screened on a board that the artist Sara Munguía produced in 2016. This project started from the artist’s interest in producing a video that could be seen over time, starting from the ideas of expectation and desire.
The video shows parts of objects recorded in different fine arts and anthropology museums, but without revealing their whole form as the camera is very aggressively close to the surface. Any symbolic or historical content is removed to reduce them to colours, forms and textures. The sound becomes ever more present and everything becomes distorted throughout the video. The linear thought linked to history is going to be replaced by sensory perception.
