Fernando Villena produced Adapt yourself: Extreme conditions. Extreme solutions when on a grant in 2011. The project is based on an earlier photo study of the organic plant forms that adapt to extreme environments such as those to be found in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, California and Wyoming, which condition their forms and life cycle.
The work given to the collection is an adhesive photograph on aluminium which has been digitally modified, turning it into an abstract form. Focusing his exploration on form and on colour led to an evolution towards an artistic rendition, depicted in a series of pictorial and photographic works.
