A convergence of planes seems to float before us. We do not resort here to the traditional assumption of an imaginary space that obeys the geometric laws of perspective. On the contrary, Erramun Landa exploits the tonal possibilities of aquatint to the point of driving the image, solely through colour, to the very limit of its two-dimensionality. The slight irregularity of the edges, the barely noticeable weave of fibres and the warm delicacy of the paper come together in a kind of diffuse tactile atmosphere that provides the necessary density for the flight of the figure, which materialises as a harmonious architecture of a floating and subtle light.
