“Starting from action, an essay: recording in order to think. The artist works on video, though not always with video. Recording herself, recording others, being recorded. She seeks to undo the opposition between subject and camera. Exploring movement, the fragmentation of the body, an approach to the other’s skin. Filming is touching. A series of gestures: the projector facing the camera, a desire for the body, a shift in the automatism of affect.”
