BilbaoArte is hosting a lecture by artist Gin Ro entitled Processes and Explorations: From Pre-Photographic Technique to Artistic Practice. It will take place on 21 January (7 pm), with free admission.
Gin Ro is a visual artist whose practice explores the processes of identity transformation influenced by social, economic and historical contexts, with a critical perspective based on decolonial feminist thought. Her work is intertwined with experimentation in manual techniques and organic materials.
In her lecture, the artist will present her recent projects, as well as her artistic practice, work processes and explorations related to pre-photographic techniques and their integration into her personal work. This lecture serves as a prelude to the course she is teaching at BilbaoArte entitled ‘Vegetable Alchemy’.
