This room, located on Paseo de Uribitarte, serves as an Exhibition Hall and warehouse for the municipal center’s works, exhibiting both the production of the Foundation’s artists and its extensive collection.
With the opening of URIBITARTE40, the Bilbao Arte Fundazioa Foundation relocates its exhibition space to a more central and strategic location for the cultural life of the town, close to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and the Museum of Fine Arts.
The collection of the center, recognized as a contemporary art collection by the Basque Government, already exceeds 500 works. For this reason, this new space becomes a warehouse and exhibition place for this collection, along with the selected proposals from the center’s artists.
In November 2023, the BilbaoArte Foundation celebrates its XXV. anniversary with the inauguration of the first exhibition in this room, curated by Javier González de Durana.
