Mobility programmes

The BilbaoArte Foundation maintains stable collaboration relationships with other artistic production centres, which allow the resident artists of the Centre to develop their projects in other institutions for a period of time of two months approximately, as well as to know of various cultures and to contact various agents of the communities that participate in the exchanges.

The artists who have been awarded residency grants in BilbaoArte have the possibility of opting for different mobility programs from the first year that they have taken part in the grants program. Through them, the foundation sends and welcomes artists from both national and international residency programs.

Among the institutions with which BilbaoArte maintains stable collaboration agreements, we can find, Interprint London College of Communication (United Kingdom),Dublin Technological Institute, The One Academy of Communication Design of Malaysia, Centro de Producción Gráfica de San Luis Potosí, Secretaría de Estado de Morelia (Mexico), Rogaland Art Centre of Stavanger, Kunsthaus Bregenz (Austria), Cite Internationale des Arts de Paris (France), SeMA Nanji Residency (South Korea) and Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa (Venecia, Italy) in collaboration with Otaola Ubieta Grant. Similarly, the Foundation has collaborated with residency programs such as: Fundación Viana – Cajasur, Moving Artists, Irudika (International Professional Illustration Meeting) and FIG (International Engraving Festival).

This way, the BilbaoArte Foundation keeps on developing a collaboration network with various art centres and institutions of international level, which allows its resident artists to complete their training by means of the development of their creative projects in other artistic production centres, and it also enables the organization of courses, seminars and other activities with artists and professionals of various origins.
