My proposal is a study of sculptural body piercing, using the piercing as a piercing or pressure element. Archival images of pierced bodies serve as a reference for working on large-scale compositions that respond to what I understand as sculpture. Metallic elements combined with plastics have the capacity to change a body aesthetically and ideologically, the body being, in this case, a sculptural body..

I work with the drive and limits a body has before it breaks. A physical, emotional, and sensitive body. “It has drive” is said of a person who shows determination and enthusiasm toward something they want to achieve.
