SIVAR JALAL MAHMOOD (Moving Artists, 2024)

The artwork is a vertically oriented cubic mirror. In the center of each side is a black human silhouette Obstructs the viewer’s reflection. The concept is based on using the background as a focal point. By exchange the background and introduction raise many questions, leading the audience to consider the human being as the center characters whom think about how they interact with and influence their surroundings and environment.

As we all know, the environment is a critical issue that profoundly impacts how people interact with their surroundings. In partnership with Sulyon Group and numerous activists from various fields, I have engaged in several projects rooted in the concepts I am passionate about. My focus has been on pressing societal and global issues.

I am particularly interested in collaborating with individuals, artists, and activists who address contemporary societal problems. For me, it is necessary to engage with a diverse range of people and perspectives, encompassing different cultures, lifestyles, and public practices. This engagement not only stimulates critical thinking but also fosters a deeper understanding of how cultural differences shape our approaches to various issues. By embracing these diverse viewpoints, we can develop more effective and inclusive solutions.

I have established strong connections with both international and local artists, which has significantly enriched my perspective and approach. These relationships have provided me with a broad array of insights and collaborative opportunities, enhancing the impact of my work.
