Dreamed-of Territories. 5th Edition of the Colombia Migrante Film Festival

The Colombia Migrante Film Festival (FCCM) is an international cultural initiative dedicated to raising awareness, promoting, and supporting the creation of spaces for remembrance through film and audiovisual productions. Its focus is on narrating the complexity of migration among Colombians both within and outside their homeland.

Under the theme “Dreamed Territories,” the Colombia Migrante Film Festival invites reflection on the role of imagination and desire in building peace. Ten years after the signing of the Peace Agreement, the festival recognizes that experiences of migration, exile, and displacement continue to transform territories and fuel processes of memory, reparation, and collective reconstruction.

The right to dream is neither an abstract idea nor a distant horizon, but rather a daily practice that takes shape through encounters, collective organization, and the bonds that sustain life in community.

PROGRAM
BilbaoArte is hosting various film screenings at ArtHouse Zinema, along with discussion panels and film forums, to foster dialogue between social communities and creative professionals.

The events will take place on October 22 and 23, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

On Thursday, October 22, we will screen three short films, all by Colombian filmmakers: “Yolanda camina sola,” “Amor en los tiempos de como sea que se llame el presente,” and “El rastro del dolor”—the latter two directed by women.

The Inkomoda Association is voluntarily and wholeheartedly hosting these screenings of Colombian films as a commitment to peacebuilding and remembrance.
