EUROPEAN MOBILITY PROGRAMME – ARTISTIC RESIDENCY AT BILBAOARTE FOR FRENCH ARTISTS

PURPOSE OF THE CALL
The Institut Français Spain, in collaboration with the BilbaoArte Fundazioa Foundation, is running a programme to promote contemporary French art in the Basque context and to foster links between artists, institutions and cultural contexts in France and Spain.
The purpose of this call is to select a French artist to carry out their project in the form of a studio residency at the BilbaoArte Artistic Production Centre, for a period of two months.
DURATION
2 months (1 October – 30 November 2026)
DEADLINE AND SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
Applications must be submitted by sending a single PDF file containing the required documentation to bilbaoarte@bilbao.eus, with the subject line FRANCE+NAME
The deadline for submission is 28 June (23:59). The name of the selected artist will be announced before 3 July.

L’Institut français d’Espagne, en partenariat avec la Fondation BilbaoArte, développe un programme destiné à soutenir la création contemporaine française dans le contexte culturel basque et à renforcer les échanges entre les artistes, les institutions et les écosystèmes culturels de la France et de l’Espagne.
Le présent appel à candidatures vise à sélectionner un(e) artiste français(e) pour mener à bien un projet de création dans le cadre d’une résidence artistique au Centre de Production Artistique BilbaoArte, bénéficiant de la mise à disposition d’un atelier pour une durée de deux mois.

2 mois (du 1er octobre au 30 novembre 2026)
DÉLAI ET MODALITÉS DE CANDIDATURE
Les candidatures doivent être envoyées sous la forme d’un seul fichier PDF regroupant l’ensemble des documents requis, à l’adresse suivante : bilbaoarte@bilbao.eus, en indiquant en objet : FRANCE + NOM.
La date limite d’envoi est fixée au 28 juin à 23h59. Le nom de l’artiste sélectionné(e) sera annoncé avant le 3 juillet.
