URIBITARTE40 is a project room dependent on the BilbaoArte Fundazioa Foundation, intended to house the artistic production center’s collection and the development of its own exhibition projects and public programs.

Located on Paseo de Uribitarte, in the Abandoibarra neighborhood, the URIBITARTE40 Hall is inserted in the strategic axis of the city’s great cultural institutions with a location close to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, the Museum of Fine Arts of Bilbao, the Rekalde Room and the Azkuna Center.

The space’s programming is focused exclusively on the promotion of artists who have passed through BilbaoArte and on the dissemination and exhibition of its extensive collection of contemporary art built up over the years through artistic residencies.

The BilbaoArte Collection, recognized since April 2023 by the Basque Government in the Registry of Museums and Collections of Euskadi, now exceeds 600 works. For this reason, this new space becomes a warehouse and exhibition space for this collection, along with the selected proposals of the center’s artists through committees of experts and professionals from the art world.
