On 21 and 22 September, from 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm, the artists Estanis Comella, Itxaso Expósito, Jon Ibala, Ismael Iglesias, Javier Lozano, Karlos Martínez Bordoy, Javier Ozcoidi, Víctor Rico, Izar Ocariz, Celia Viada and Alazne Zubizarreta will give individual presentations on their artistic practices and working processes. This is an opportunity to gain a first-hand insight into their work and careers, as well as to learn about the projects they will be developing over the course of ten months at the BilbaoArte workshops.
The beneficiaries of the “Production Grants” for the 2026–26 academic year, in the form of studio space, were selected by a professional jury comprising Tania Pardo (Madrid, 1976), Director of CA2M, cultural manager and curator; and the artists Sahatsa Jauregi (Itaparica, Brazil, 1984) and Alain Urrutia (Bilbao, 1981).
In June 2027, the same jury will select the three artists who will develop an exhibition project and a publishing project at the URIBITARTE40 Gallery at BilbaoArte. In turn, DA2, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Salamanca, and the Pamplona Department of Culture (La Ciudadela) will select two artists for whom they will organise solo exhibitions at their venues, thanks to the agreements and collaborative frameworks established by BilbaoArte.
