THE EXHIBITION: WAVING

Waving is based on the project developed in the municipal production center and proposes a series of pieces halfway between drawing, audiovisual and sculpture. In the fold of sculpture and cinema there is a return to the material and spatial quality of what is seen as film or video, a highlighting of a mechanism of light projection on a series of images. In cinematic representation, movement seems inherent to form; It is and makes the form, its form. Applying cinematographic thinking to other media, he explores an expanded body image, more blurred, more indefinite, without clear contours.

THE ARTIST: MARTA VAN TARTWIJK

In her practice Marta van Tartwijk (Barcelona, 1990) explores how the image can access personal experience, operate as a hinge that articulates time, context and subjective experiences, experimenting with the body and language. She has a degree in art from the UCM, and she completed her training at ESAB (France), at the University of Barcelona, A*Desk and the Francisco Alcántara Ceramic School. She has held various exhibitions in institutions such as INJUVE, TEA, La Capella, Sala de Arte Joven, Fabra i Coats, Sant Andreu Contemporani or Matadero among others. She has held residencies in BilbaoArte, Dos Mares and Tabakalera.
